Academy Of Rock Is Here, Enroll Now !!

Recently I was invited to the launch of Academy of Rock at Rockwell, Makati City. At first I was so hesitant to go because, I am not into rock music not like when I was in high school, but I did my research and learned that the institution is a holistic learning of music from voice lessons to various instruments. Academy of Rock was originated from Singapore which molded talents of youth in music for five years now.

I arrived early at their flagship school here in the Philippines located at 3rd Floor Rockwell Power Plant, so I made that opportunity to go around and take a photo of approximately 10 rooms full of signature and high-end type of instruments like Sabian, Roland, TAMA etc. Each room was name from famous bands and excellent talent in music like he Beatles, Queen, Gun's N Roses and more.

In five years AOR gained full success and achievement, in fact last year they were awarded the Promising SME 2012 from Small Medium Business Association (SMBA), Singapore. The Founder/Director Priscila Teo said that the institution will cater the youth and will give Filipino services and knowledge that they have in Singapore. Ensuring that the teachers are internationally certified to conduct music lessons, full range of students experience and exposure local and abroad.

The students will experience the joy of playing the music of today while strumming to the beats of the past with a systematic learning tailored to a particular individual. To develop and maximize students potential is one of their mission as well as the holistic learning of music through this, you'll never go wrong, always have a best foot forward until you achieved your goal.

Mr. Jeremy Ward the Executive Director of Rockschool Ltd is with Academy of Rock for the past three years and still supports what Academy of Rock do to raise the musicality of youth and provide conducive and enjoyable environment for learning. He reiterated that is really where great musicians are born.

After the press conference, they tour the press, media and bloggers around the place and see what's in-store for the Philippine talents (which I already done earlier hehe .). Then after that, they took us at the Rockwell Tent where AOR talents are waiting and ready to revealed. Started with a dance number performed by Olivia Cui & The Beats, then the world's youngest distinction holder for diploma in music performance from Rockschool UK, Theron Lim. Theron has a great talent in music specially in playing drums wow...AOR teachers local and abroad also rendered us a set of performances and they are really great and had a right to be a music teacher and of course Yeng Constantino and Sandwich also showed what Filipino talent is all about.
