I am now looking for a great deal online for digital camera in the Philippines . Since I started to blog and  invited in various events nowadays, I wanted to have a better coverage and documentation of it.. FAMILY: Lola's 91st Birthday

Its my Lola's 91st Birthday last Sunday and we are all there to celebrate it with a bang hehe..We love our Lola so much that's why were so busy preparing foods, utensils,pool area decorations and even my dress that i support to wear is ready but by the time visitors from Laguna and Quezon came in...I done nothing but to take pictures...take pictures.. and take pictures hehhe...It was so fun and nothing can beat the happiness that my Lola felt that day.Looking forward for next year hehe..

Hi there, welcome to my new blog which  I recently purchased the domain from Go Daddy.com. Im Carmela Bobis-Tanaquin, but you can also call me Mhela/Ning Buning. Yes that's me, Im also the author of "Anything And Everything's Free", some of you knew me from that blog of mine but to tell you the truth this is my first/personal blog "Shygirl's Own".This time I would like to join our WBFC using this blog for you to know me better as well.

Im a wifey of Anton, we just got married last October and wherein a honeymoon stage right now hehe..I am a graduate of chemical eng'ng but my carrier as one did not pushed through. However I found my so called happiness in the field of nursing, yes im a registered nurse and working as one in a small hospital here in the city of Makati. Im the eldest among the five children of my family which are all based in the US, because at that time when my mam got her immigrant visa as a nurse which she had also a privileged to bring her family (spouse and children not older than 21) I am 21 years old and 3 months.What an irony, isnt it?, I think its destiny on my part because I would not have my sweetest husband now, if i joined them as well. I am so happy right now as well as my family because theres always someones right here beside me and taking care of me. 

I started blogging beginning 2010 as you can see in my archives (Shygirl's Own) but i just tried it as a photo blog. I started to take it seriously specially when I started also joining contest online. Facebook, blogging contest, comments, tagging,likes and everything, you named it, I joined them and I successfully won some of them and i really like the feeling.That's why I realized to share it with others through blogging (Anythng And Everything's Free), so that they can feel also the effort, determination and dedication in joining and winning contests and promos online. Most of all I hooked into blogging because I met so many people without seeing them personally, and interacting with them was so fun and I enjoyed it a lot, to think that im a shy person but online i can talk and express my feelings hesitations. Thats why I think I would continue this esp now that I will try also to join the paid to post blogging to relate on what PMC talking about sometimes (ow..most of the time).

I love this community and I feel that I belong to what objective they have.I missed also my mom everytime I talk with them. I admired the momies most of all because they can do all things in one.I wanna be one.

March 9 - Ash Wednesday

Yesterday I've been to Baclaran church to attend once again a weekly novena and of course for the first day of Lent season, the placing on my forehead with black ashes in the shape of a cross "The Ash Wednesday". It is said to be the beginning of forty day liturgical period of prayer and a sign of mourning and repentance to God. Since I am  a Catholic and always doing this when i was growing, I wont missed a chance of doing that.

Ashes are made from the palm we used from last years Palm Sunday, gathered together and burned.Sometimes they combine Holy water or olive oil to softens the mixture.Mass and worship services laid into it until it becomes ready for the people.I read also that the priest may say one of the following when applying ashes:

Remember that thou art dust, and to dust thou shalt return.- Genesis 3:19

Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel. - Mark 1:15

Together with that our family observe also fasting, abstinence from meat, weekly mass and praying everyday. So meaning one full meal good for a day or two small meals a day.Its time for me to do my diet again ehhe..

A first grade girl handed in the drawing below for her homework assignment. The teacher graded it and the child brought it home. She returned to school the next day with the following note: "Dear Ms. Davis, I want to be perfectly clear on my child's homework illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint surrounded by male customers with money.
I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm. This drawing is of me selling a shovel."

So funny is'nt it hehehe...i almost fell under my bed when i read this hehhe...

TRAVEL: Singapore

Last week my hubby and I went to Singapore and we enjoyed at Universal Studios which was opened early of last year.We were there as early as 8am because it opens 10am but the queue is so long as of the article I've read, so we can have a lot of time also to take pictures.As the amusement park opens the we felt butterflies in our stomach and we were like a child jumping like a kids hehhe..Thats was so fun, picture here ,there and everywhere hehe...We enjoyed the rides in the Battlestar Galactica, the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster, the canopy ride at the Jurassic park etc.Theres so many shows also that you can choose from according to the schedule the Rock n Roll at the Hollywood Theater, the Far Far Away shows and the Water World shows also are so cool, just dont dare to seat on the splash area if you dont want to get wet before the show starts hehhe...The food was so great specially the Garret popcorn beside the hersheys store,dont missed to taste that great popcorn before you go home.

We really enjoyed our day at the Universal Studios Singapore and we wanna go back as we returned to our hotel hehhe...More on our SG adventure soon.
